If someone smells of body odour how do you tell them that they stink?

My friend and I regularly go to an Indian restaurant which has lovely food. The problem is one of the waiters really smells of body odour. It is ever time we go in there he always smells. It is quite off putting and you have to hold your breath when he come near by. How would you handle this situation? We are quite friendly with one of the other waiters. Do you think it would be a good idea if we said something to him to pass the message on?

yeah tell the one ur close to or the manager, it’s the manager’s obligation to tell the smelly one that he . . . well smells. it’s in most employee handbooks about personal Hygiene and if his is poor he could contiminate your food and make you ill

In the end it would wind me up so much, I’d have to tell them, but I’d say it in a polite way, like I think you need a different deodorant, because this one ain’t working lol.

Just mention casually to the other waiter that you think his friend forgot his deodorant this morning, and you couldn’t help noticing, Unfortunately, you are afraid other diners might not be able to help noticing either , and might be put off visiting again.

Yes it would be easier and less embarrassing for everyone involved if you had a quiet word with the other waiter, or even ask to speak to the manager and tell them. No need to make a big song and dance out of it when you do though, body odour can be very embarrassing for the person suffering from it.

The unfortunate thing is that several Indian spices are secreted via the sweat; so, no matter what you may say or not say, and no matter how much he bathes or doesn’t bathe, he obviously must eat a lot of food at that restaurant and you are the "beneficiary" of his secretions. By the way, Sarah Jessica Parker wants to market a new perfume that smells like BO; she thinks it’s a sexy smell :)
